Mother's Day Cookies {roses and bird cages}

We have lived in Virginia now for almost 4 and a half years, and in that time I have never sent cookies to my mom or my mother-in-law. I have meant to so many times but somehow life (and many orders!) have gotten in the way.

I finally decided I HAD to send them both a little surprise and Mother's Day was the perfect time for me to do that!

I think I was more excited for them to get these cookies than any other order I have ever done. Seriously. I love being able to make something to show the people I love how much they mean to me. And what says 'I love you' more than a cookie? Nothing, I tell you.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers out there! Especially mine :)

Superhero Cookies {for a little girl birthday}

I did these for my niece's 5th birthday party. They were shipped off to Manhattan a few weeks ago (notice the Manhattan skyline cookies?!). I want to make them again, they were so much fun!

I love the way they turned out. In the pictures you cant tell, but each superhero is sparkly.

Happy birthday to one of the sweetest, most beautiful little girls I know!

Paris Valentine Cookies {and a cookie swap!}

Hi friends! I did a little cookie swap this past weekend with Myra over at Sugar Oven Cookies.. Let me just say she is amazing and her cookies are DELICIOUS! Seriously, they taste incredible.

We decided to do whatever theme we wanted, because I will be cutting back on the cookie making (I HAVE to finish my bachelors degree.. I'm so close!!), I decided to do valentines cookies! Paris themed that is. I will warn you these pictures are not the absolute best.. it was overcast for like a week strait so I had no choice but to take them with bad lighting. But here they are!!

My little birds in their bird cages.

I brushed all the silver with silver pearl dust mixed with orange extract to get the shine!

Now here are Myra's cookies! I was SO excited when I was notified of my package at the front desk. It took a lot of self control not to eat all of them that very moment.. I had to wait to take pictures the next day. But They were scrumptious! So moist and AMAING. They looked as good as they tasted.

I loved the feathers!

This one was my favorite (that's why I ate it first of course).

Look at all those beautiful, bright colors! I want to make cookies like these!!

So everyone go check out Sugar Oven, you won't be disappointed you did. Hope you enjoyed the cookies, HAPPY BAKING!

These favors were for my "sweet" friend Ashton's little girl. She turned two and the theme of her party was cookies, milk and mustaches. Cute, right?

The birthday girl got a special sparkly mustache cookies.

Little Girl Birthday Cookies

I made these for a best friend of mine who has done so much for me I can't even begin to explain. Her sweet little girl turned two.

I've seen lots of ombre lately (hair, clothes, cakes..), so I decided to do ombre cookies! In pink of course. What little girl doesn't love pink?!

Happy birthday sweet Miss B!

Pink Tuxedo Popcorn

This popcorn is so yummy! It's my mom's recipe and I absolutely love it. The funny thing is I've never really liked any popcorn beside butter popcorn.. but this is to die for. Recipe below, you're welcome :)

Tuxedo Popcorn
1 1/2 C. sliced almonds
10 C. popped popcorn
6 C. kettle corn
10 C. mini marshmallow
20 oz. white chocolate
12 oz. semi sweet
12 oz. milk chocolate
8 oz. white chocolate chips
1 cup whole almonds

Preheat the oven to 350, and on a jelly role pan toast almonds 7-10 till golden brown. Pop all the popcorn and then in two large bowls (this is a huge recipe) mix popcorn, kettle corn, marshmallows and sliced almonds. Then melt 20 oz. white chocolate in the microwave for 1-2 minutes (stir ever twenty seconds or so to prevent burning). Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn and mallows mixture in the bowls to coat evenly. Immediately spread out on 3 cookie sheets and sprinkle whole almonds on top. Then melt (in individual bowls) and drizzle the remaining chocolate. I started with the dark chocolate, then milk then white, and as you can see I died half the white pink for Valentine's Day!! Chill for at least two hours before cutting into pieces, and ENJOY!

Aren't the labels the cutest thing?! I got them here!

Spread the LOVE!

Cowgirl Up!

I finally got a new USB cord for my camera today! I was so happy to see it :) Here are some cowgirl cookies I did for a three year old birthday. I sent them to Arizona, thankfully they made it through the heat.. but unfortunately a few broke (the butterflies). These were a challenge to do when I realized I didn't have a horse cookie cutter and that is what she wanted. But, it worked out! And these horses didn't break.

Stay tuned for a tutorial some time this week!

Happy baking :)
