Mother's Day Cookies {roses and bird cages}

We have lived in Virginia now for almost 4 and a half years, and in that time I have never sent cookies to my mom or my mother-in-law. I have meant to so many times but somehow life (and many orders!) have gotten in the way. 

I finally decided I HAD to send them both a little surprise and Mother's Day was the perfect time for me to do that! 

I think I was more excited for them to get these cookies than any other order I have ever done. Seriously. I love being able to make something to show the people I love how much they mean to me. And what says 'I love you' more than a cookie? Nothing, I tell you.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers out there! Especially mine :)

Hand Painted Teacup Cookies

Sometimes I stay up so late doing cookies. Sometimes I take very last minute orders (like this one.. literally had one day to do them). It always makes me realize just how awesome my husband is. He stayed up with me for these ones and made carne asada at 1:00 am AND cleaned up my cookie dough and icing mess so we went to bed at 3:00 with a clean kitchen. Really though, it doesn't get any better than him. Makes cookie decorating a lot more fun when you don't have to clean anything up :). The best part is he does it to be nice, not because I ask. And he's a hunk, so that's nice too. 

I love how delicate and pretty these turned out. Perfect for a baby shower. Thanks for the order Katy!

Secret Garden Cookies {Hand Painted}

I can't believe summer is gone! In honor of a great summer, I decided to do one last summer cookie set. These are all hand painted... channeling my inner Arty Mcgoo. Though I may not be quite as aaaamaaaaaaaaazing as she is, hopefully with some more practice painting cookies I'll get there! Try not to focus on the horrendous lighting (and poor photography skills) and just focus on the cookies (I hate overcast days!!)

Halloween cookies coming later this week! As for all of those who have emailed me with questions about a tutorial, I will be getting to that hopefully within the month!! Have a great fall week.

Poinsettia Cookies

I start listening to christmas music mid september, early october-ish.. yep, I'm one of those people. Sometimes during the summer I even put in a little christmas music when I'm feeling deprived. I love christmas time, it really is the most wonderful time of the year (cheesy, but true). So of course some of  my favorite cookies to make are christmas cookies.

These cookies were so easy. I had some extra poinsettia RI accents left from a big order I've been working on and made these cookies. The "peace" is a stamp! So easy, I just hand painted a few extra swirls on each one and there you have it. 

I'm getting VERY excited for the holidays!

Flower Cookies

Wedding Favor Cookies

I did 64 wedding favors for each guest at a wedding dinner this last weekend. The bride had green apples and hot pink gerber daisies with silver accents as her decorations, everything looked so beautiful! These little apples matched perfectly. Congrats Skylar and Chelsey! I have more pictures coming on these babies, with a much better camera (I am planning on getting a new camera in October.. I can't wait)!
