Hand Painted Teacup Cookies

Sometimes I stay up so late doing cookies. Sometimes I take very last minute orders (like this one.. literally had one day to do them). It always makes me realize just how awesome my husband is. He stayed up with me for these ones and made carne asada at 1:00 am AND cleaned up my cookie dough and icing mess so we went to bed at 3:00 with a clean kitchen. Really though, it doesn't get any better than him. Makes cookie decorating a lot more fun when you don't have to clean anything up :). The best part is he does it to be nice, not because I ask. And he's a hunk, so that's nice too.

I love how delicate and pretty these turned out. Perfect for a baby shower. Thanks for the order Katy!

Halloween Cookies {hand painted}

First of all.. Let me apologize. HOLY COW. Yes, I am a total amateur photographer.. but these are just pathetic.  SERIOUSLY SAD. I need to take some classes or something. My pictures are usually okay when I have reeaalllly good lighting. But if it is overcast, I am doomed. Its madening because my cookies are so much brighter in real life, be it as it may.. here they are!

I LOVED doing these (have I used enough CAPS for you yet??). Halloween is my favorite holiday. Tied with Christmas of course.

Here is my spidee cookie inspired by the incredibly talented sweet ambs.

More cookies coming soon! Enjoy this gorgeous fall weather and wonderful week!

Secret Garden Cookies {Hand Painted}

I can't believe summer is gone! In honor of a great summer, I decided to do one last summer cookie set. These are all hand painted... channeling my inner Arty Mcgoo. Though I may not be quite as aaaamaaaaaaaaazing as she is, hopefully with some more practice painting cookies I'll get there! Try not to focus on the horrendous lighting (and poor photography skills) and just focus on the cookies (I hate overcast days!!)

Halloween cookies coming later this week! As for all of those who have emailed me with questions about a tutorial, I will be getting to that hopefully within the month!! Have a great fall week.

Painted Cookies {baby announcement}

So,  I've only done a few painted cookies (my first set here), and I was so happy to do an order of all painted cookies! I really want to start painting more, it's fun and its also SOOO nice because you only have to make white royal icing instead of 10 different colors!! Woot woot, I was sure happy about that!

These were for a women who is having her third baby and wanted to announce it to her husband in a fun way. Such a great idea!!

The 'I'm Pregnant' cookie..

The painted due date and mini onsie with a duck. I really love mini cookies by the way, they are adorable!

Of course a cookie with a painted stork, this was my faveee!

I'm a dummy and didn't get a picture of this entire cookie, BUUUT it said "& Then There Were 3"

Can't wait to do more painted cookies in the future! Thank you Eliza for your order!!

More cookies coming this week

Paris Valentine Cookies {and a cookie swap!}

Hi friends! I did a little cookie swap this past weekend with Myra over at Sugar Oven Cookies.. Let me just say she is amazing and her cookies are DELICIOUS! Seriously, they taste incredible.

We decided to do whatever theme we wanted, because I will be cutting back on the cookie making (I HAVE to finish my bachelors degree.. I'm so close!!), I decided to do valentines cookies! Paris themed that is. I will warn you these pictures are not the absolute best.. it was overcast for like a week strait so I had no choice but to take them with bad lighting. But here they are!!

My little birds in their bird cages.

I brushed all the silver with silver pearl dust mixed with orange extract to get the shine!

Now here are Myra's cookies! I was SO excited when I was notified of my package at the front desk. It took a lot of self control not to eat all of them that very moment.. I had to wait to take pictures the next day. But They were scrumptious! So moist and AMAING. They looked as good as they tasted.

I loved the feathers!

This one was my favorite (that's why I ate it first of course).

Look at all those beautiful, bright colors! I want to make cookies like these!!

So everyone go check out Sugar Oven, you won't be disappointed you did. Hope you enjoyed the cookies, HAPPY BAKING!

Christmas Cookies

I'm a little late on posting these, but better late than never! I did these a few weeks ago for a christmas party as party favors. Each person got a large cookie and a mini in a cello bag tied with ribbon. (I should've taken pics when they were all bagged.. oops)

For these cookies I painted a music stamp with Aztec gold luster dust and stamped it on.

Hope everyone has a very merry christmas and happy holidays!
